The Holy Haram expansion project required a complex transformation, where a competition was held among consulting firms to convert single-story areas into six-story structures. The challenge was to achieve this without altering the cross-sections of the existing columns. UGCE led a structural design for this challenge’s proposal, ensuring that the expansion was executed with precision and respect for the site’s sacred significance. To maximize vertical circulation, additional stairs and elevators were constructed outside the Holy Haram, connected to the new areas by bridges.
